About the Organization

Unbridling Human Potential is part of Planned Transitions Consulting & Coaching Inc. www.plannedtransitions.com, a unique and innovative collective whose sole/soul purpose is to bring individuals one step closer to discovering their authentic selves, resolving issues, and creating sustainable change. The foundation of the equine-imity programs is our partnership with horses who act as co-facilitators for personal growth and learning. Our programs are highly experiential, allowing participants to interact with the horses at a personal level.

ABOUT OUR FACILITATORS

Linda-Ann Bowling | Christa Miremadi | Eliya Finkelstein

Linda-Ann Bowling

Linda ann Bowling

At the age of 45, I was called by the horses to begin a journey of incredible discovery, possibility and spiritual connection with nature.  Not unlike many thousands of women around the world, I found horses for the first time in my life (or rather they found me).  I am a master coach, certified in business and personal coaching, and have been coaching since 1999 in a variety of situations. I am absolutely passionate about my work in the field of somatics, movement, language, moods and emotions.  Combining these distinctions with my work with the horses has taken me to incredible depths of joy, freedom and new expression of my emotional self.

I have studied with some amazing women from the U.S. who are pioneers in this work, and am an apprentice in Barbara Rector's, Adventures in Awareness program out of Tucson, Arizona. http://www.adventuresinawareness.net/  Barbara has a wonderful story of how she got into this work which is published on the site.

My work has also been highly influenced by Linda Kohanov, author of The Tao of Equus, Riding Between the Worlds and Way of the Horse www.taoofequus.com.  I have attended many programs with both of these woman, and have also studied with Ariana Strozzi www.strozziranch.com and numerous other incredible teachers both two-legged and four-legged here in Canada and the US.

I am a strong commitment to authentic leadership and am certified in many "people" based programs including:

I work people from all walks of life, business owners, salespeople, leaders, organizational professionals and anyone who is seeking a more purposeful, passionate life.  My story of the horses can be found on my blog.  I would love the opportunity to speak with you about how you can experience the power of learning with the horses!

Christa Miremadi

Christa MiremadiChrista has been working with horses for as long as she can remember.  Starting out as a 3 year old in England, she soon discovered that horses were her true calling.  Through the loving support of both her mother and father, Christa continued her equine education in Vancouver, B.C. Canada when they moved from England in 1986.  She explored English equitation, Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, Reining, Western and English pleasure, as well as trail.  Christa showed successfully in each.discipline with the help of many great instructors as well as many great equine teachers.  She also credits her years of experience working summers on a horse ranch in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta for her acquired knowledge in everything from Stable Management, Out-tripping, packing and starting young horses.

Christa is a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA), Certified Level 3 Western Riding Instructor as well as a Certified Level 1 English Riding Instructor.  She and her family started up Silver Star Stables in Richmond, B.C. in 2001.  After 6 years of successful business on 3 acres, Christa and her Family moved Silver Star Stables to it's current location in Langley B.C.   With the help and support of her loving husband, they provide horses with Natural Care Boarding, living outside in herds as well as off g riding lessons, breeding, sales, rescuing horses and Horsemanship from the Heart(TM) Natural Horsemanship.

Through years of learning from her horses, Christa developed this training method, recognizing that horse, as well as human and all other living things produce physical and measurable energy and teaches how to tap into that energy as a communication tool.  Christa also enjoys her role as Equine Specialist for equine-imity, Unbridling Human Potential(TM), helping the horses to safely and clearly communicate to their human partners.  She will continue to learn from these remarkable, emotionally advanced and spiritual animals and counts herself lucky to be blessed enough to be guardian to a few special horses along the way.

Eliya Finkelstein

Eliya FinkelsteinEliya Finkelstein has been around horses since she can remember, and discovered them in a new light through equine-imity and Linda-Ann Bowling in 2004.

Eliya is currently in training for her CHA certification to become an instructor and is working towards her passion of training horses through her mentor and coach, Christa Miremadi.

She is a Safety Support Advocate for equine-imity, ensuring the safety of horse and participant through the EQ program s. Eliya just recently gained the title of Youth Advocate after a difficult experience in 2006, leaving her with a burning desire to help youth everywhere. She actively canvasses Vancouver and the Lower Mainland talking about her experiences in hopes of opening up the opportunities she's been privileged to have through EQ to others.

This desire to help youth has led her to pursue a career in psychology, which will begin this September (2007) as she begins her journey to attain her Bachelor of Applied Arts in Psychology Degree at Kwantlen University College. Equine-Imity has changed and sustained much of her healthy life, and Eliya is hoping to expand her work in this field over the next few years.
